The construction of 43 fire stations and oil depots in the republic remote areas is planned under the state program to ensure public safety, approved by the head of the republic Aisen Nikolaev, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports with the reference to the Regional Head’s Administration.
The state program “Ensuring the safety of population for 2020 – 2024” budget will be more than 13 billion rubles. Funding will come from the federal, republic, municipal budgets and extrabudgetary sources.
The program consists of two subprograms – “Ensuring fire safety, protecting the population and territories from emergency situations and civil defense in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)” and “Importing life-supporting cargoes into the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)”.
So, in the populated areas of Yakutia, it is planned to install self-contained smoke detectors for socially unprotected citizens for the risk of fires at the place of residence. In 2020, it is planned to create the units of the regional state fire service to protect villages Aikhal and Udachny of the Mirny district.
“In accordance with fire safety standards, we plan to build 43 fire station facilities in 23 districts. Also we’ll acquire 137 units of fire fighting equipment. We plan to equip 60 territorial subdivisions of voluntary firefighting public associations with mobile fire extinguishing equipment,” says the administration.
The second subprogram means the construction of new oil depot facilities in the village of Tiksi, Bulunsky district, the village of Olenek of the Oleneksky district, an oil depot in the village of Batagai-Alyta, Eveno-Bytantaysky district. Storage facilities in the Arctic regions will also be built.
“We expect that the implementation of “Delivery of life-supporting goods to the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)” subprogram will result in 100% delivery of the planned goods’ volume,” the report says. The program will enter into force on January 1, 2020.
