Yakutia to open 18 outpatient cancer care centers until 2024
The centers will allow to diagnoze and treat diseases at the spots
Yakutia 24 TV channel: 18 outpatient cancer care centers will open in the republic regions until 2024.
“The goal of creating outpatient cancer care centers in the districts is to ensure the availability of early specialized diagnosis of a particular disease and receive treatment on the spot,” says the Regional Health Ministry.
9 outpatient cancer care centers opened in 2019. The main indicator is a decrease in mortality from neoplasms, including malignant ones. January – September 2019 saw 1,6% decrease in the mortality rate from neoplasms, compared to the same period in 2018; and 27,7% rate decrease, compared to the Russian Federation indicators.
“Thanks to the joint actions of head of the republic Aisen Nikolaev and the regional government with the federal center, we have made it possible to finance the construction of the cancer center in Yakutsk from the state budget. Almost 5,9 billion rubles will be allocated from the federal budget, and Yakutia will get a modern Oncology Center with a clinic for 210 visits in 2023,” said Elena Borisova, the Republic Minister of Health.
