Housing services received 214 complaints on stray dogs
Yakutia 24 TV channel: The republic will strengthen work to catch the stray animals in the capital.
The deputy head of Yakutsk city for housing and communal services Roman Sorokin notes that the number of applications from the citizens to catch unsupervised aggressive dogs is growing. “Cases of dogs attacking people become more frequent, we face the task to intensify the work on catching, in connection with the detected rabies virus in animals. During the week, the agency received 214 complaints from residents regarding stray, aggressive dogs, which is 40 more than last week,” he says.
Also, it was proposed to organize additional brigades in Yakutsk for catching animals. At present, there are two such brigades in Yakutsk, equipped with wire throwers. At the same time, the financial situation of the enterprise does not allow to strengthen this work at its own expense.
