Yakutia authorities will claim Mechel company of tax revenues if Elga coal field commissioning fails
The republic authorities will ask from Mechel to return the tax revenues if the Elga field fails to give 20 million tons of coal in 2020, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports with the reference to TASS.
According to the head of Yakutia Aisen Niolaev, as of today, the company volume of coal extraction is less than 5 million rubles.
“it is physically not feasible to gain 15 million tons per year. Thus, the project won’t be implemented, and there raises the problem of returning the tax revenues, including to the regional budget”, says Aisen Nikolaev.
Earlier, we reported that Mechel could violate the terms of the investment contract on the Elga field in the republic.
