Yakutia agricultural products export exceeded $270 thousand in 2019
Yakutia 24 TV channel: Export of agricultural products from the republic was $ 274,6 thousand in 2019, as stated by Federal Customs Service for January-November 2019.
The People’s Republic of China has been identified as the main export country for meat products, but currently there are restrictions on meat supplies due to outbreaks of dangerous animal diseases in Russia. So, the planned export volume in this direction has not been fulfilled.
Agriculture Ministry of Russia and the Republic signed an agreement on the implementation of the regional project “Export of agricultural products in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)” on July 2019. The document sets the following indicators for the export of agricultural products: in 2019 – $ 500 thousand; in 2020 – $ 700 thousand; in 2021 – $ 800 thousand; in 2022 – $ 1,8 million; in 2023 – $ 2,7 million; in 2024 – $ 5 million.
The agreement also determines the most promising directions for the republic: export of meat products (horse meat, foal and its processed products), export of fish products, export of wild raw materials and processed products, export of alcoholic products.
The agricultural export in 2019 was three times more compared to 2018’s result.
