Yakut film ‘The Sun Above Me Never Sets’ won in two categories at the Asian Festival of World Cinema
The Yakut movie won prizes at the International Film Festival in LA
The “The Sun Above Me Never Sets” film won the nominations for “Best Actor” and “Best Film” at the 5th Asian Festival of World Cinema in Los Angeles, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports.
The awards were received by the Executive Director of the Yakutsk International Film Festival Irina Engelis.
“Congratulations to director Lyubov Borisova and the entire crew with the victory of the film at the 5th Asian World Film Festival in Culver City, Los Angeles. The film won the nominations for “Best Actor” – Stepan Petrov and “Best Film”. It was a great honor for me to receive awards from the hands of the famous German-Turkish actress Meriam Uzerli,” Irina Engelis wrote on her Facebook account.
The film director Lyubov Borisova noted that the film crew will also fly to Australia soon, where it will take part in the Asia-Pacific Film Prize and the WINDA Film Festival.
Earlier, Yakutia 24 TV channel reported that the film “The Sun Above Me Never Sets” became the nominee of the prestigious award in the field of cultural diversity under the auspices of the Asia-Pacific Film Prize. The best films will be awarded on November 21.
