Yakutia 24 TV channel: Head of the republic Aisen Nikolaev familiarized with the results of the financial and economic activities of Yakutugol, Elgugol and Kolmar coal mining enterprises, and their plans for the near future during a working trip to the Neryungrinsky district.
In 2019 Neryungri district enterprises mined 19 million tons of coal, which is two million tons less than planned.
Of the total volume, 8,4 million tons were produced by Colmar, 5,8 million tons by Yakutugol, 4,3 million tons by Elgaugol.
It is reported that in 2020, subsoil users want to increase the volume to 23 million tons.
“Despite the fact that the planned indicators for coal mining in 2019 were not met, the results are not bad. Failure to comply with the plan was primarily due to the crisis in the global market – prices for some grades of coal fell significantly. But this did not affect production at all, there is no fall, on the contrary, there is growth. It is gratifying that for 2020 companies declare very large volumes, suggesting that production figures will increase by more than 20%,” says Aisen Nikolaev.
It is specified that an increase in production indicators in the coming years will become possible due to the commissioning of two large MPPs for extraction of coking coal and the production of high-quality coal concentrate – these are Inaglinsky and Denisovsky.
