VeDroid cleaning robot of Yakut developers will work at Domodedovo Airport in Moscow
Yakutia 24 TV channel with the reference to the Russian Science Ministry Press Service: VeDroid cleaning robot will work at Domodedovo Airport and Riga Station in Moscow. The project of the Yakut scientists bypassed competing robots from Switzerland and Japan.
According to one of the creators of VeDroid Nikolai Potapov, the Yakut robot is three times cheaper than the Swiss and six times cheaper than the Japanese one.
“VeDroid will have a “trial period” in Moscow companies, after which the developers will make improvements to the system, if necessary,” the report says. Now the developers are negotiating with companies from Poland, Romania and Hungary.
The Yakutsk cleaner robot was created for industrial premises with a large area. VeDroid can work without charging for two hours, it uses 40 liters of water for an area of four thousand square meters. The robot automatically purifies the water and reuses it. The robot is completely made in Russia, and it has no analogues yet.
The creators of VeDroid are working on their own brand and trademark.
In addition, the developers plan to open a special course in one of the Yakutsk schools.
