Vasily Egorov: Silver at the Russian Boxing Championship became a motivation for me
The Yakutians met the boxing team, that returned from the Russian championship, at the airport of the republic capital. Vasily Egorov said that the silver medal “did not bring down the attitue”, but on the contrary, became a motivation for him, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports.
“Of course, I wanted to win gold, but it was a little not enough. Anyway, it’s been a very good experience for me, because I first boxed in weight of 52 kilograms at the Russian Championship. We will work, we have training camps in Kyrgyzstan ahead, then in February the control sparrings, that will determine the composition of the national team for the Olympic tournament in London,” said Vasily Egorov.
Earlier, head coach of the republic’s boxing team Arthur Pakhomov said that Vasily Egorov still had a chance of getting into the Russian Olympic team.
