The Yakut film “The Sun Above Me Never Sets”, directed by Lyubov Borisova, won two prizes at the Cottbus International Film Festival, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports.
“Our film, produced by GNK Sakhafilm, received two prizes at the 29th International Film Festival in Cottbus, Germany! The prestigious FIPRESCI Prize and the Audience Award!” wrote film producer Sardana Savvina on her Facebook page.
Earlier, Yakutia 24 TV channel reported that “The Sun Above Me Never Sets” film became the nominee of the prestigious award in the field of cultural diversity under the auspices of the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Film Prize in 2019.
