The Lena Bridge will increase the GRP by 2,5-3% annually
The republic gross regional product (GRP) volume will increase by 2,5-3% due to the construction of a road bridge across the Lena River, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports with the reference to TASS.
“The construction of road bridge will give us the opportunity to increase GRP by 2,5-3% annually,” said Minister of Economy of the Republic Maya Danilova.
It is stated that Yakutia expects to implement major projects in the primary and non-primary sectors. The volume of investments in non-oil projects may amount to about 200 billion rubles.
According to the agency, the regional GRP for the first time exceeded one trillion rubles in 2018. Economic growth amounted to 5%.
Earlier, Yakutia 24 TV channel reported that the construction of the bridge had been included into the draft national program for the Far East development. The bridge is expected to increase freight transportation in the region threefold – up to six million tons per year.
