Russian Expertise Offce approves a new MPP construction at Yakutia deposit
Yakutia 24 TV channel: Experts of the RF Glavgosexpertiza (Main State Expertise) approved a project of the Mining and Processing Plant construction first stage at the Nezhdaninsky deposit in the Tomponsky district of the republic.
The project first stage provides the development of open-pit reserves of the deposit within the boundaries of the first ore zone, as well as the construction of a mining and processing plant, operating under the gravity-flotation concentration scheme.
The enrichment factory will include the main and administrative buildings, large crushing warehouses, chemicals and fuel consumables, tailings thickener, concentrate packing and shipping case, cake loading point, pump station and other necessary facilities.
“The annual ore processing capacity of the processing plant will be 1,5 million tons with a gold and silver content of 3,12 and 29,3 grams per ton, respectively,” says the company.
Nezhdaninskoye is one of the largest gold deposits in Russia, located on the territory of the Tompon region of Yakutia. Since 2019, it has been wholly owned by Polymetal, that plans to locate two quarries and a gold concentrate factory at the mine.
Exploration work is currently underway in the area.
