Russia plans to produce about 440 million tons of coal before the end of 2019
The Russian Energy Ministry plans to produce 440 million tons of coal by the end of 2019, of which about 210 million tons will be exported, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports with the reference to the Nedra-DV portal.
According to the agency, the forecasted volume of fuel production, based on 2019 results, will be 445 million tons of raw materials, and 453 million tons in 2020. The same data has been approved in the draft Federal Budget for 2020 and the planning period of 2021–2022.
It is noted that in 10 months of 2019, coal mining companies extracted 359 million tons of coal and fulfilled the plan by 82%.
