Rosavtodor to provide funds for design of a bridge across the Aldan River in Yakutia
Rosavtodor will finance the design of a bridge across the Aldan River in the republic, which follows from the site of “Transport of Russia” international forum in Moscow, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports with the reference to the Regional Head’s Government.
A meeting under the forum considered the measures for the development of “Kolyma” Yakutsk-Magadan and “Lena” Nevers-Yakutsk federal roads.
“In the next five years, as part of the “Kolyma” federal highway overhaul, we plan to asphalt 160 kilometers of road from Yakutsk direction; to build five bridge structures across the Atyr Baha, Segenyakh rivers and a nameless stream at 579 kilometers in the republic,” says the report.
The first vice-premier of the region Aleksey Kolodeznikov also raised the issue of building a bridge across the Aldan river at 38 km of the federal highway. The parties agreed that Rosavtodor would provide funding for the bridge design.
“After the Lena Bridge construction is over, we should start to construct the bridge across the Aldan river, then there will be a year-round road connecting the Magadan region and Yakutia,” said Aleksey Kolodeznikov.
