Republic plans to implement a literature project on Yakuts feat in WW2
People’s writer of the republic Nikolai Luginov proposes a project to edit a book about the World War 2 and feat of Yakut warriors.
In the framework of 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, the Head of Yakutia met with the people’s writer, vice-president of morality of the region, co-chairman of Union of writers of Russia Nikolai Luginov. He proposed to implement a literature project, that is publication of books about the WW2 1941-45, the feat of Yakut warriors, who fell on the battlefields and went missing.
The project is aimed at saving the memory about our fellow countrymen, called to the war, and will be our honor to the generation of winners, real heroes and patriots, who had survived all the hardships of wartime. Not only Yakut, but also Russian writers can participate in the project.
“Only through the literature we can show to younger generation how our people could win in the Great Patriotic War. In the Year of Patriotism we have to recover the names and surnames of our heroes, so that every citizen honour and remember their immortal feat”, Nikolai Luginov says.
Head of Yakutia supports the initiative and expresses confidence of its implementation.
