‘Power of Siberia’ allows to gasify 4 districts of Yakutia
The launch of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline will allow gasification of Lensky, Olekminsky, Nerungrinsky and Aldan regions of the republic, said Aleksey Kolodeznikov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the region, at a press conference on the event of facility commissioning, Yakutia 24 TV channel reported.
“This is a significant event not only for our republic, but for the whole country. “Power of Siberia” makes it possible to gasify four regions of the republic: Lensky, Olekminsky, Nerungrinsky and Aldansky. Now they are designing to gasify 30 settlements of Yakutia. The launch of the facility is new jobs at Gazprom for Yakutia specialists. More than two thousand people will be involved in the company’s facilities and we will be able to implement the “Local personnel in the industry” program,” said Kolodeznikov.
The fuel start button has been pushed today, December 2, at 11.00 Yakut time.
Kolodeznikov also noted that, with the launch of the gas pipeline, Yakutia really became an oil and gas producing region.
“Speaking about 2020, the volume of gas production will reach its full production capacity then, and it will be tens of times greater than in 2019,” the first deputy chairman emphasized.
