The festival will introduce people to Yakut and Evenk traditions
Yakutia 24 TV channel: “Pole of Cold” Festival will be held in Tomtor village, Oimyakonsky ulus from March 26 to 30.
“Pole of Cold” is a national holiday, the mixture of Yakut and Evenk cultures in their original form. During the festival, one can learn all about the life, life and culture of local residents: national costumes, traditions, songs, dances, traditions,” says Irina Vysokikh, Minister of Entrepreneurship of the region.
A tourist auto-quest “Journey to the Pole of Cold” will take place within the framework of the festival. Participants will start in Yakutsk and will overcome more than two thousand kilometers to the Oymyakon district. Also, festival guests will be able to visit the Chyskhan Workshop sales fair, master classes with tasting of national dishes “Taste of the North”, “Miss Pole of Cold” contest and “Chyskhan Games” sports contest.
