Part of the forest protection duties will be transferred to the federal level
Putin said it is necessary to improve the fire combating system
Russian President Vladimir Putin said that it is necessary to improve the forest conservation system due to the large number of forest fires in the country. For this, part of its functions must be transferred to the federal level, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports.
“We will transfer a number of powers to the federal level, this applies, first of all, to aviation forest conservation, and concerns control and forest management,” the head of the state said.
He emphasized that the majority of forest fires are caused by black loggers, or industrial workers, who thus gets rid of waste.
“And in everyday life, people often burn grass. We need to work with people in this regard more often purposefully,” said Vladimir Putin.
The press conference of Vladimir Putin takes place for the 15th time. This conference once again broke the record for the number of journalists accredited to it – 1895 people.
