National Vocabulary Fund may become the basis of the Russian dictionaries
Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to prepare a single corpus of dictionaries and reference books with the norms of the modern Russian as the state language, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports with the reference to TASS.
The use of the single corpus of dictionaries should become mandatory for all state structures.
The basis may be the National Vocabulary Fund – a state reference and information digital system, the creation of which was initiated by the RAS Russian Language Institute named after V.V. Vinogradov.
“We hope that the main component of the work Vladimir Putin spoke about will be the creation of the National Dictionary Fund of the State Reference Digital Information System. It will include materials from all authoritative dictionaries of the Russian and various Internet resources organized in such a way to make it possible to receive information about all the Russian words and all their parameters,” said Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council for the Russian Language Alexander Moldovan.
