A film about a hermit reindeer herder from Yakutia took third place at Poland festival
Yakut movie to be released in Polaish cinemas
The film “The North Wind is Warm Sometimes”, directed by Alexey Golovkov, took the third place at the Russian films festival “Satellite over Poland” in Warsaw, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports with the reference to TASS.
The film tells about the life of the reindeer herder Alexander, a hermit and philosopher who has lived in the heart of the Arctic taiga in Yakutia alone for many years. the picture hero hasn’t been in a big city for more than 20 years, and his biggest dream is to travel around the world, see Tibet, Rome, Australia.
2019 festival “Satellite over Poland” was the 13th. Within 10 days, viewers saw more than 100 Russian films in various genres.
The show is traditionally very popular among Polish moviegoers. After Warsaw, the Russian films, included in the program, will be shown in 40 other Polish cities.
