Exhibition of author’s dolls in national costumes of indigenous minorities in Yakutsk
Yakutia 24 TV channel: A personal exhibition of home-made dolls by craftswoman Anna Manko has opened in the national library.
All the dolls, presented at the exhibition, are prototypes of people, living in Kamchatka: relatives and friends of the craftswoman, artists of national ensembles. The clothes are made in the national style of Koryak, Itelmens, Evens and Chukchi.
The exhibition also has hats of leather and fur, trimmed with beads. The collection of unique dolls just came from India, where it was presented at an international exhibition. According to Anna Manko, her first doll was made under supervision of artistic director of the “Kyksha-ai” ensemble. The doll later was marked and the master was invited to Moscow exhibitions.
