Company tests in Yakutsk due to cold temperature here
Yakutia 24 TV channel: Tests of Bridgestone automobile tires began at the test site of the North-Eastern Federal University.
Bridgestone spokesman Chiyaki Oyama will test car tires for two weeks.
Ivan Noev, director of the NEFU testing ground, said that the testing ground has all the conditions for conducting tests at the world level.
“Chiyaki Oyama works the second day. He and engineers are pleased with the tracks, snow and frost. We will continue to work on equipping the landfill and improve the tracks. Yakut cold, snow and ice will always be relevant. May our friends please with their arrival, cooperation and bring their warmth to the cold region,” says Ivan Noev.
Dean of the Faculty of Road Dmitry Filippov says that the flag of Bridgestone was raised at the training ground in honor of the tests start, since the faculty made it a tradition to raise the flag of partners and customers at the beginning of each test.
The test site was also visited by Pavel Stankov, head of the road test department of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise NAMI, and Ramil Giniyatullin, chief test designer at KAMAZ PJSC. They got acquainted with the material base of the university and the training ground and showed great interest in Yakutia.
The most important test criteria is low temperature. Dmitry Filippov noted that the abnormally warm winter at the locations of the test centers in other cities shows the advantages of the test site in Yakutsk.
“According to our information, similar problems were observed in the Scandinavian countries. Therefore, they are seriously studying the possibilities available in Yakutia for testing new models of their equipment,” he concludes.
