About 6 trillion rubles to be directed to Russian coal industry development
Yakutia 24 TV channel: The country’s coal industry development program until 2035 will require about 6 trillion rubles, most of which is private investment.
This was stated by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin at a government meeting. According to him, the goal of the program is to increase the production and export of coal, as well as to reduce the accident rate, that still remains at a high level.
“It is important that the profession of a miner is less associated with risks to life and health of people,” the prime minister emphasizes. The program shall modernize coal enterprises, including through the introduction of innovative technologies that will increase the safety of work in mines.
New coal mining centers in Kuzbass, Rostov Region, Far East, Eastern Siberia and Arctic zone are planned to be created.
