A number of medical companies in Yakutia suspected of cartel conspiracy
Three medical companies of the republic are suspected of cartel conspiracy in more than 140 tenders for the supply of medicines, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports with the reference to the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the republic.
“The OFAS Russia Commission for the Republic established the presence of a cartel agreement in the actions of Region Capital LLC, Med Market LLC, Farmbaza LLC and three individual entrepreneurs,” the management website says in a statement.
It is noted that in 2016-2018, having concluded an anti-competitive agreement, companies and entrepreneurs participated in more than 140 tenders for the supply of medicines and supplies to budgetary medical institutions in Yakutia.
“When participating in the bidding, the listed organizations used a common model of behavior that was known in advance to each company and was determined by the presence of an anticompetitive agreement, which deliberately excluded competition and led to the maintenance of procurement prices,” the Republic OFAS website said in a statement.
Case materials will be transferred to law enforcement agencies.
