A contest of questions to paleontologists started within the ‘Permafrost Dinosaurs – 2020’ project
“Ask a Researcher” online contest of the project “Permafrost Dinosaurs – 2020” started today, December 18, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports with the reference to the project’s press service.
It is noted that the campaign is intended to draw attention to world discoveries in the field of paleontology, made by Yakut and St. Petersburg scientists, exploring the remains of Arctic dinosaurs in Khoro village of Suntarsky district of the republic.
“Ask a Researcher” contest encourages the interest of Russians both to the paleontology science itself and to the Russian regions, in particular, in Yakutia. This is a unique opportunity to ask researchers a question regarding the life of polar dinosaurs,” the report said.
The start of the competition was given by paleontologists Pavel Skuchas and Dmitry Grigorev. Scientists will not only personally answer questions, but will also choose the three best from them. The authors of these questions will receive prizes from the participants of the paleontological expedition.
To participate, it is necessary to mark the question with the hashtag #динозавры_Якутии and send it to email@example.com with a brief information about yourself (place of residence, contact details).
In addition, all participants of the contest are invited to the events of the “Permafrost Dinosaurs 2020” project in Yakutsk and St. Petersburg.
