A note, left by Yuri Tsvetkov on Mount Muus Khaya in Yakutia, came as a surprise to his daughter Anna. The girl told Yakutia 24 TV channel correspondent that her father had never mentioned he had left a message in the mountains.
“I did not know that my father congratulated me on my birthday in this way. He never talked about it and this note was a surprise to me,” Anna Tsvetkova shared.
According to his daughter, Yuri was professional mountains climber.
“Most likely dad was in Yakutia for work. Unfortunately, I don’t know for sure. They laid new routes in the mountains, a kind of mountaineering. They calculated the time, the amount of stocks and the necessary equipment… I did not understand this well due to my age. Then he got directly engaged in tourism work. He mostly traveled to Europe,” she said.
The girl also shared unique photos of her father climbing Mount Muus Khaya with Yakutia 24 TV channel.
Earlier, Yakutia 24 TV channel reported that Petersburg journalists found the girl to whom the man had left the note on the mountain in Yakutia 29 years ago. At that time, Leningrad resident wrote on a notebook paper that he was dedicating his ascent to the mountain to his daughter Anna Tsvetkova birthday.
Later Anna wrote on her page on VKontakte: “An amazing story happened to me today. Here is a letter that found me after 30 years. This is my dad’s congratulation to me on my 8th birthday, that has been lying in the mountains of Yakutia for 30 years, waiting for me. At that time, my father was on an expedition and could not attend my birthday, so he wrote me such a message. And this year it was found and handed over to correspondents of Yakutia, and they, in turn, sent it to Fontanka.ru correspondents. By chance it came to me and I found it out! I thought such things can only happen in movies, but it’s not – miracles happen in real life too! And even though you haven’t been with us for 10 years, thank you dad.”
