22% less Yakutians retired in the first half of 2019
Yakutia 24 TV channel: In2019, the number of retired people decreased by 22% in the republic, and by 55% in Russia.
During 2019, pensions were indexed several times and, compared with the previous years, indexation was carried out at a higher level than the inflation rate.
“In 2019, the size of insurance pensions for all pensioners, including working ones, increased by 977 rubles, and the pension of non-working pensioners increased by 1455 rubles in the whole country,” said George Stepanov, head of the Russian Pension Fund Yakutia branch.
Earlier it was reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin said that from January 1, 2019, the retirement age for men increased from 60 to 65 years, for women – from 55 to 60 years.
