Veterans been congratulated on the Day of Fatherland Defenders
Prime Minister congratulated Yakutia veterans on holiday
Yakutia 24 TV channel: Veterans and soldiers were congratulated on the solemn meeting dedicated to the Day of Defender of the Fatherland.
“On this day we pay tribute to all our fellow countrymen who participated in military conflicts in the territories of near and far abroad. We express our deep gratitude to all those who carry out military service in the ranks of the Russian army and navy, to employees of law enforcement agencies. To all those thanks to whom we can peacefully work, enjoy life and raise our children,” says Vladimir Solodov, Chairman of the Government of the Republic.
He also recalled that 2020 was declared the Year of Memory and Glory by President Vladimir Putin. According to him, at present, the republic is home to 79 veterans of the Great Patriotic War and 4,8 thousand veterans of the rear.
“It is in our power not just to treat each of them with care and attention, but also to try to preserve the memory of each warrior, of their immortal feat for future generations,” says the Prime Minister of the region.
At the end of the speech, Vladimir Solodov wished the Yakutians a peaceful sky, good health, happiness and prosperity.
