Yakutia 24 TV channel: A new forest bison nursery will appear in Suntarsky district of the republic.
A new park will open in late February the end of February, that will host ten grown calves. To date, the new bisonarium is almost ready to host its new inhabitants, that will be released into the wild after quarantine.
In total, there are more than 200 bison in the territory of Yakutia, all living in two nurseries. The first bison were brought to Ust-Buotama in 2006. Today, 37 animals live there, nine of them one-year-old calves. The second bisonarium is located in Gorny region, in the Tympinay area. It contains 179 species, 60 of which are held free.
Another 30 Canadian bison will replenish the Ust-Buotama bison, in agreement with the government of Canada.
