‘Stop HIV/AIDS’ all-Russian campaign started in Yakutia
“Stop HIV/AIDS” all-Russian campaign will take place in the republic from November 25 to December 1, 2019, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports with the reference to the press service of the head and government of the region.
The Republic Rospotrebnadzor Department conducts a hotline on HIV prevention as part of the action. Management specialists will answer questions on disease prevention and safe behavior, tell where it is possible to undergo free and anonymous testing, and enlighten the HIV infection situation in the region.
“Early diagnosis is the first step in successfully treating of HIV infection. Timely antiretroviral therapy allows one to control the spread of the human immunodeficiency virus,” the department told.
The Center for Molecular Diagnostics (CMD) of Rospotrebnadzor Central Research Institute of Epidemiology will also join the campaign. From December 1 to December 3, 2019, anyone can take an analysis to determine if the antibodies have the human immunodeficiency virus for free and find out their HIV status.
All CMD medical offices participate in the campaign. Counseling and HIV testing will be organized for all interested citizens free of charge using the #СТОПВИЧСПИД promo code.
