State Duma made amendments to Labor Code on reduced working day for women working in villages
Yakutia 24 TV channel: In its third reading, the State Duma adopted amendments to the Russian Labor Code on a reduced working day for women, working in rural areas.
“Women working in rural areas will work for 36 hours as of the shortened week and at the same time receive full wages, as for a 40-hour work week. Also, now they have the right for one day off a month without saving their salary,” said Valentina Kirillina, deputy chairman of the Yakutia Trade Unions Federation.
In addition, women have the right for higher wages due to a labor or collective agreement.
