Number of migrants decreased by 14,6% in Yakutsk in 2019
35,214 foreign citizens arrived in Yakutsk in 2019
Over the 11 months of 2019, the number of migrants, arriving in Yakutsk, decreased by 14,6%, compared to 2018, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports with the reference to “Yakutskoye” Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
“According to the results of 11 months of 2019, 35,214 foreign citizens and stateless persons arrived and registered on the territory of Yakutsk city, which is 14,6% less than in the same period last year. 19,712 people have extended their stay period,” the official statement says.
According to the agency, the number of foreign citizens, who extended the period of temporary stay, increased by 0,2%. 95% of them did this in connection with the further labor activities.
Police officers checked 2,142 objects of the residential sector, construction, trade, consumer services for compliance with the migration legislation. 166 foreign citizens were not allowed to enter the Russian Federation, and 66 persons were reduced their stay in the country.
It is reported that the overall indicators of identified administrative offenses decreased by 19,5% – from 7,949 to 6,400 cases. According to the trial census, the population of Yakutsk is 338,582 people, not counting citizens living in the capital of the republic without registration at the place of residence.
