Over 17,5 tons of socially significant food and industrial goods were delivered to the village of Saskylakh in the Anabar region of the republic by AN-12 cargo plane from Krasnoyarsk, Yakutia 24 TV channel reported with reference to the Ministry of Arctic Development and Northern Peoples of the region.
“The transport collapse and deficit in Anabar is over. Our district is a pilot municipal entity, which has taken over the authority to provide population with socially significant food products since 2018,” words of the district’s head Ivan Semenov are quoted.
He noted that a modern storehouse with a vegetable store has been introduced in the village of Saskylakh, and it is also planned to build a similar storehouse in the village of Yuryung-Haya with the participation of Yakutia Ministry of Agriculture.
Part of the goods is brought into the region by the Northern Sea. Thanks to the port capabilities with modern crane facilities, an oil pipeline and an oil pier, the terms significantly reduced and the cost of transporting various cargoes decreased.
The head of the district also plans to develop inter-district relations: “In 2019, the Tuymaada-Agrosnab vessels did not take out the harvested fish from the village of Taimyr, Bulun district. We will support the villagers by purchasing fish at our own expense, in the future we are ready to supply socially important goods. We are ready to transport fuel and also participate in the supply of social goods for Zhilinda of the Olenek districts, since logistics is better through the port of Yuryung-Khaya.”
