The republic observes a tendency of marriage age increase, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports with the reference to Sakhastat.
In 2018, 47,4% of grooms in Yakutia married at the age of 25-34 years, which is almost 3,6% lower than the all-Russian indicator. In 2017, this figure was 50,0%.
27,3% of grooms in 2018 sealed themselves by marriage at the age of 35 years or more (25,6% of grooms in 2017).
Brides in the region marry more at the age of 25-34 – 42,0% of all those who marry in 2018. 24,6% of brides got married at the age of 35 years and older (in 2017, these figures were 44,3% and 22,4%, respectively).
“By analyzing these indicators, we can say that there is again a tendency of marriage age increase in the republic again,” the agency tells.
According to the Sakha (Yakutia) stat, as of January 1, 2019, the proportion of men in Yakutia was 48,5%. There are 1060 women per 1000 men, and this indicator decreased only at the beginning of the current year – before that, there were 1061 women per 1000 men for three years.
