Head of Yakutia says the republic shows the lowest levels of cancer in Russia
The republic is in the last ten in the ranking of oncological diseases in Russia. To maintain this indicator, the republic needs a modern and equipped oncology center, says the head of the region Aisen Nikolaev on air of Yakutia, Go! program on Yakutia 24.
“Of course, this object should be modern when it gets commissioned. Therefore, I gave the order that the technical equipment of the Oncology Center must be based not on needs of 2013-2015, when the object had been designed, but on needs of 2020,” stated Aisen Nikolaev.
He also added that the oncology center will receive patients not only from Yakutia, but also from the entire north-east of the country.
Earlier, Yakutia 24 TV channel reported that the federal budget would allocate 5,9 billion rubles for construction of the Oncology center in 2020-2023.
