Four Yakut athletes included into the Paralympics 2020 Russian national team candidates’ list
Four Yakut athletes became official candidates for the Russian team to participate in the 16th Paralympic Games to be held in Tokyo in 2020, Yakutia 24 TV channel reported with the reference to Instagram account of the Head of the Republic Aisen Nikolaev.
“I received a letter from the RF Minister of Sports Pavel Kolobkov. Four Paralympic athletes at once from the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) are official candidates for the Russian team to participate in the 16th Paralympic Games in Tokyo in summer 2020! These are Alena Dmitrieva (sitting volleyball), Vladimir Balynets (powerlifting), Anastasia Diodorova (swimming) and Stepanida Artakhinova (archery)!”, wrote Aisen on Instagram.
Aisen Nikolaev also instructed Yakutia government to provide organizational and financial preparation of athletes for the Paralympics.
