English-speaking groups for foreign students opened at NEFU Medical Institute
A bilingual group specially for foreign students of the first years of study has been working at the NEFU Medical Institute since 2019. Classes are in English, also the students study Russian, Yakutia 24 TV channel reports.
“Our first year is experimental, we started studying the basic fundamental and humanitarian disciplines in English,” said Sargylana Dmitrieva, deputy director of the Medical Institute Teaching department.
The representatives of Colombia, Nigeria, Thailand, Egypt study here. Basically, students learn about the North-Eastern Federal University from their state government and receive scholarships to study.
“The classes are very interesting and, most important, understandable. If you have any questions, the teachers will find the easiest way to explain the different tasks. Here we can brush up our knowledge,” said the Medical Institute first-year student Sandra Nkamangang, Cameroon.
According to Christian Pineda from Colombia, he’s been choosing educational institutions in different countries for a long time, since it is difficult to get a good medical education in his homeland.
“There is a very high level of teaching. Better than in my country. Here I met many people, improved my English, learned Russian , of course. I will need it in the future,” he said.
